Breaking: Brock Leaving BC For Rutgers

February 7, 2012

By Greg Joyce / Sports Editor

Boston College football coach Dave Brock will be leaving to take the position of offensive coordinator at Rutgers University for the 2012 season. The move has been confirmed by a BC source, though no official announcement has been made yet by either BC or Rutgers.

Last year, Brock started the season as the tight ends coach for the Eagles, before being named the interim offensive coordinator when Kevin Rogers took a leave of absence after week two. Following the 2011 season, Brock was moved to the special teams coach on Jan. 13.

Head coach Frank Spaziani will now need to look for a replacement for Brock at special teams coach. Whoever Spaziani chooses will be the third new coach on the staff for the 2012 season.
